The strongest evidence for Hijamah in the context of spiritual affliction comes from the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him himself. Aisha radiAllahu anha reported that the Prophet peace be upon him was afflicted with Sihr and that he had Hijamah performed on his head as part of his treatment. Reported in Sahih Bukhari 5763. The Prophet peace be upon him, the best of creation, when afflicted with Sihr, used Hijamah. If it was good enough for him it is good enough for us
What Hijamah Does & Does Not Do
Let us clarify a critical point: Hijamah does not directly extract or remove Ayn (Evil Eye), Sihr (Magic), or Maas (Demonic Possession). The Quran and Allah alone have the power to dismantle and heal spiritual afflictions. The Quran is the true medicine of the soul.
What Hijamah genuinely does is address the real, heavy physical bodily symptoms that spiritual affliction deposits in the nervous and muscular systems. These symptoms manifest as:
Persistent physical fatigue and unexplained listlessness
Deep localized back-pain, rigid neck and heavy shoulder areas
Severe chemical tension headaches and frequent optical migraines
All contact points cleaned before use.
Sensation of heavy chest density or blockages
Restless stagnation in the limbs and muscle tissue
Interrupted sleep or intense physical stress patterns
Ibn Taymiyyah explains in Majmu Al Fatawa that spiritual charms like Sihr operate via both a spiritual and physical dimension. The spiritual channel is directly solved through Ruqyah. The physical channel must be cleaned through Hijamah. Treating only one dimension results in an incomplete healing cycle.
